  • Royal Cambodia Co Ltd is established as a general trading company operating out of Australia in 1989
  • The Royal Group of Companies is incorporated in the Kingdom of Cambodia in 1990
  • Royal Management and Investment Trust is established in 1990

1990 - 1999

  • Established to support the UNTAC government to assist in bridging the relations between foreign administrators and local entities. During this period RGC cemented its reputation as a reliable company and thus developed a relationship in international trading.
  • Sole distributorship of Canon products in Cambodia is secured
  • Distributorship of Motorola products in Cambodia is obtained
  • Sole distributorship of Bell Helicopter in Cambodia is secured
  • Joint venture between the Luxembourg-based Millicom and the Royal Group of Cambodia, CamGSM Co. Ltd. was the first to launch a GSM network (Mobitel)
  • Royal Telecam International, the country’s second licensed international gateway, is launched through another joint venture with Millicom
  • TeleSURF, Cambodia’s first broadband Internet service, is established
  • Neak Oknha Kith Meng, Chairman and CEO, is featured in the Who’s Who of Business Tycoons in Asia

2000 - 2009

  • Cambodian Broadcasting Corporation, a terrestrial UHF television service trading under the brand CTN, is established through Modern Times Group, a joint venture company
  • Sole distributorship of Samsung electronic products in Cambodia is obtained
  • Sole distributorship of Siemens electronic products in Cambodia is acquired
  • ANZ Royal Bank is established through a partnership with Australia New Zealand Banking Group Limited, bringing world-quality banking services to Cambodia
  • CTN, which remains Cambodia’s top-rated TV station today, is launched in the U.S.A., Australia and New Zealand
  • Infinity General Insurance Plc was established as part of The Royal Group. Today, Infinity is the country’s largest locally owned general insurance provider backed by world-class partners and A-rated reinsurers.
  • A joint venture with QSR Brands, which operates KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants all across Asia, brings the first international fastfood chain to Cambodia
  • Exclusive rights for HBO, Cinemax and the Disney Channels in Cambodia are obtained through CEPCO, a TV channel distribution company
  • Royal Park Resort, Cambodia’s first 6-star resort, through a joint venture with the Oberoi Group, begins development in Siem Reap, closest to the Angkor Wat temple complex.
  • The Royal Government of Cambodia outsourced its railway operations under a 30 year exclusive concession to operate the Cambodian Railway Network

2010 - 2019

  • Acquired the leading mobile payment service provider, Wing
  • Indirect Express bus service, Giant Ibis Transport launched
  • A joint venture with China, Cambodia and Vietnam investment creates the largest Hydropower Lower Sesan II, a total installed capacity of 400MW, 2.715 billion cubic meters, Crest total length of 6,500m, that includes concrete dam section 464.0m long, 6,036m wide station in Cambodia
  • Established Yong Sheng Global Trading, focus on supplying power transformers, Thailand number 1 transformers manufacturer
  • Following the acquisition of a majority shareholding in the bank formerly known as ANZ Royal, JTrust commences the operations in Cambodia
  • Cambodian Broadcasting Service, CBS, launched with the full connection of a large pool of TV stations combined

2020 - Present

  • CBS signed MOU to join in Cambodia TV Alliance Group in creating a single digital TV platform

  • Telcotech Bond linsting marks firt for Cambodian firms
  • Inter Logistics (Cambodia) Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of Royal Group of Companies acquired 45.9% of Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone
